Peer Review Process

LPP Journals is dedicated to the timely evaluation and publication of submitted manuscripts. All manuscripts, along with supplementary files, must be submitted through the online portal of Lapin Press Journals. The submission and review process is entirely electronic; submissions by e-mail or post are not accepted. Authors should carefully follow the guidelines under the ‘Manuscript Preparation’ section.

Every manuscript is initially reviewed by the editorial team to assess its relevance, originality, and potential contribution to research or clinical practice. Those lacking sufficient priority are promptly rejected, allowing authors to improve their work or consider alternative journals. Submissions that are incomplete or not formatted as per the required style are returned without undergoing peer review.

If a manuscript proceeds to review, the authors are informed electronically with an article ID for reference. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts, who are given three weeks to provide their evaluations. The entire review process is confidential; reviewers’ identities are not disclosed, and manuscripts are treated as confidential documents.

Reviewers submit written feedback along with a recommendation—acceptance, revision, or rejection. Manuscripts are accepted for publication only after receiving positive reviews. Authors are notified of decisions by e-mail. Selected articles may be edited for clarity, accuracy, and length. Manuscripts not accepted may be considered for publication in other journals by the same publisher.

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance of title
  • Clear objectives
  • Appropriate assumptions and methodology*
  • Ethical compliance*
  • Original, research-based content*
  • Well-presented results and sound statistical analysis*
  • Logical discussion and conclusions based on study findings*
  • Proper referencing and length
  • Inclusion of figures and tables
  • Acceptable English language standards

*Applicable to research articles only

Manuscripts submitted by editors or editorial board members are handled independently, following the same peer-review standards as other submissions. To avoid any conflict of interest, such manuscripts are managed by alternative editors, and the submitting editors are not involved in the review or decision-making process.
