Retraction Retractions Policy
Corrections, Retractions
At LPP Journals, our policy is to keep all published articles as the final Version of Record (VOR) unchanged and exact. However, if changes to already published VOR articles become necessary, these will be considered carefully on a case-by-case basis by the Journal Editors along with the respective staff of LPP Journals, following the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Any changes will be carried out as a Correction, Notice of Concern, Retraction, or Removal. These actions will always be accompanied by a clear post-publication statement permanently linked to the original article to ensure full transparency and preservation of the scholarly record.
If authors identify errors in their published articles and there is agreement among all co-authors, the corresponding author should submit a detailed request for correction via the Support contact e-mail provided on the Journal’s website.
Correction
A Correction will be issued if an error affects the interpretation of the article but does not undermine the overall integrity of the work. The Correction will explain the error and the amendments made to the VOR article. This notice will be linked to the original article, which will also be corrected accordingly. Additionally, a footnote containing a link to the Correction will be added to the article.
Retractions
Retraction Statements will be issued following COPE guidelines in cases where a significant error invalidates the findings or where research or publication misconduct (such as fabricated data, plagiarism, or manipulated images) is detected. Retractions will always follow a thorough investigation by the editorial team and an appropriate Editor.
The retraction notice will be published in the online issue of the Journal and permanently linked to the retracted article. The article itself will carry a ‘Retracted’ watermark. Usually, retracted articles are not removed from the website, but given the gravity of the reasons, such articles should not be cited in any future scientific literature.
Notice of Concern
When serious concerns about a published article arise but the investigation is inconclusive or remains pending for a long time, a Notice of Concern may be issued and linked to the article. This notice serves to alert readers that a Correction or Retraction can be published. All such notices form a permanent part of the scholarly record alongside the original article.
Article Withdrawal
Article Withdrawal is reserved for very rare and serious cases that cannot be resolved through correction or retraction. Examples include defamatory content, violation of legal rights, or breaches of privacy. In such cases, a Withdrawal Notice will replace the online article.
Additional Information Statement
An Additional Information Statement may be issued to provide extra details related to the article without contradicting its content. These are generally published upon authors’ requests and undergo editorial review. Accepted statements will be linked electronically to the original article.
